Turn your Vimeo sermon into clips and content

Extend the Sermon turns a sermon hosted on Vimeo into more than 20 finished pieces, usually inside an hour. Paste the link and get back captioned vertical clips, social graphics, an Instagram carousel, and a full week of written content. No downloading the file and uploading it somewhere else.

Everything we make is yours to post, send, and keep.

The livestream ends and Sunday's sermon is up on Vimeo by the afternoon. Then it sits there. The last time you went after one clip, you downloaded the whole service file, watched an export bar crawl, and still had to find somewhere else to upload it before anyone could start on the week's content.
That's usually where the week's content stops. Monday fills up with everything else, the sermon stays on Vimeo, and a message your pastor worked on all week gets heard once. The volunteers who worked the lobby through every service don't hear it at all.
You don't have to move the file. Paste the Vimeo link into Extend the Sermon and the kit builds from there.

How pasting a Vimeo link starts the whole kit

Four kinds of Vimeo links work here: the normal address with the video number, an unlisted link with its private code, a link copied off a channel or collection page, or the player address. There's no special format to hunt for and nothing to rename first.
Once the link's in, Extend the Sermon treats it like an uploaded file. It pulls the audio and video, then builds the transcript and starts the kit. Hosting on Vimeo doesn't change what comes back.

From one Vimeo sermon to a week of social media content

One sermon comes back as 5 to 7 captioned vertical clips, 9 social graphics, an Instagram carousel, four written pieces, and captions to post them with. Altogether that's more than 20 finished pieces, usually inside an hour.
The clips come from real moments in the sermon, and the writing works from what got preached that week.

Written pieces built from what your pastor preached

Four pieces come out of every sermon: a blog post, a weekly email, a small-group discussion guide, and a kids sheet. Each one's drafted from that sermon's own transcript and follows your church's voice settings for tone, audience, denomination, and any custom instructions you've added.
Scripture comes from the passages your pastor actually preached that week. The verses get pulled from the sermon first, and the writing works from that list. A sermon preached in another language comes back written in that same language, with no separate translation step.

Edit it and share it before it goes out

You can edit every written piece right where it lives, so you can tighten a line or fix a phrase before anything leaves the building. Nothing publishes on its own.
Copy any piece as rich text or plain text, or send it as a read-only link to a volunteer or a small-group leader. When the kit's ready, 'Download everything' hands back the blog post, the email, the guide and the kids sheet as files in one zip.

Which Vimeo videos work

Videos up to 3 hours long work, and the video needs to be at least 480p to process cleanly. Private and password-protected videos can't be reached, so if Sunday's sermon sits behind a password, upload the file that one time and skip Vimeo.
Extend the Sermon comes from Church Media Squad, which has served more than 3,000 churches since 2017. It's $97 a month for one sermon a week, and everything we make is yours to post, send and keep. Your first sermon's free and there's no card, because the fastest way to know what a week from your Vimeo link looks like is to paste one in and read what comes back.
