Delete your data
Last updated ยท September 30, 2026
You can stop Extend the Sermon from posting at any time, and you can have us delete everything we hold for your church. Here's how each one works.
Disconnect Facebook and Instagram
If you're the account owner, open Settings, find Instagram and Facebook, and choose Disconnect. We erase the access Facebook gave us for your Page, and every post that was still scheduled or waiting for approval is cancelled.
You can also remove us from Facebook itself. In Facebook, go to Settings, then Business integrations, and remove Extend the Sermon. After that we can't post to your Page or its Instagram account, even if a post is still on the schedule.
Posts that already went out stay on your Page and Instagram. You can delete those from Facebook or Instagram like any other post.
Disconnect Threads
If you connected Threads, open Settings, find Threads, and choose Disconnect. We erase the access Threads gave us, and every Threads post that was still scheduled or waiting for approval is cancelled.
You can also remove us from Threads itself. In Threads, go to Settings, then Account, then Website permissions, and remove Extend the Sermon. Posts that already went out stay on your profile; you can delete them in Threads like any other post.
Delete your church's data
Email hello@extendthesermon.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll delete your account and your church's content, including sermons, transcripts, the pieces we made from them, your brand kit, your connected Facebook, Instagram and Threads accounts, and your post history. We'll reply to confirm when it's done.
If someone other than the account owner asks, we'll check with the owner first, so nobody can remove a church's account by mistake.
